Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

The short version

Ithaca is operated by Ithaca Travel Co.. Ithaca uses only the cookies strictly necessary to run the app — there are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics or tracking cookies. Because every cookie we set is essential, we don't show a cookie-consent banner.

What we set, and why

  • Authentication & session cookies — set by our authentication provider, Supabase, to keep you signed in as you move between pages and to refresh your session securely. Without these you would be signed out on every page load. They are cleared when you sign out.
  • A short-lived security cookie may be set during password reset or account setup to complete that flow safely. It is removed once the flow finishes.

We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, profiling, or third-party analytics.

Local storage & the offline app

Separately from cookies, the app stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage and cache: a note of which account last used this browser (so a different sign-in clears cached pages), and — once you've opened a trip online — a cached copy of those pages so they stay viewable offline. (Whether notifications are on for this device is tracked by your browser's own notification permission, not something we store separately.) This never leaves your device and is cleared when you sign out.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the app won't work if you block the authentication cookies above — you won't be able to stay signed in.

Changes & contact

If we ever add analytics or any non-essential cookie, we'll update this page and add a consent mechanism first. For questions, you can contact us at info@ithacatravel.club.
